AMTAC (Adult Multi Training Activity Course) is now known as MAST (Multi Activity Staff Training). Cadet training is now called MACT (Multi Activity Cadet Training).

All Area Courses are now to be booked on Westminster. Once you have booked the course please send the booking consent form, together with the course fee to the person nominated on the Course Fee notes.
In the case of all AMTAC modules, Adult Induction Courses, Cadet Training Weekends, Cadet Advancement Boards and Cadet Leadership & Development Courses the consent form and course fee (made out to South West Area Recreation Fund) should be sent to the Deputy Area Training Officer:-

The above weekend is for all Staff interested in Expedition Training
• What is available to both Cadets and Staff in Southwest Area
• National Navigation Awards - Young Navigators Bronze Star to the National Navigators Silver Award,
• The Sea Cadet SCC Basic and Proficiency Campcraft Awards.
• The Duke of Edinburgh Award Expedition Section
• BETC Map and Compass
• How to progress from the 10 year old Junior to the 18 year old Adult and then beyond.
• All the Syllabuses in detail, what levels of Skill and experience is required for each award
It includes the registration and induction for this year’s Basic Expedition Leaders Course and introduces the whole concept and direction of hill walking qualifications.
This is a must for existing ET qualified Staff who wish to instruct and assess.
Also any other Staff who are involved in training at whatever level.
Cost varies dependent upon attendance, maximum £20 minimum £5. All depends upon duration of stay and food requirements.
