Area Training Officer - Lt Cdr (SCC) Scott Bradbury MBE RNR

All training within the SW Area Is headed up by the Area Training Officer (ATO) Lt Cdr (SCC) Scott M Bradbury MBE, GCGI, MInstLM, RNR.
Lt Cdr (SCC) Bradbury MBE RNR has been a member of the Sea Cadets for many years having joined at the age of ten. During Scott’s time within the Sea Cadets he has held many roles both at Unit, Area and National level. For many years Scott trained as a Physical Training Instructor reaching the level of Staff Officer Physical Training and holding the role as Area Staff Officer Physical Training (ASO PT). Other positions Scott has held within the sea cadets have been, Commanding Officer of Tamworth & Lichfield Sea Cadet unit, TS Fort Grange. Deputy and Area Recreation Officer (SW) and now the Area Training Officer having been a member of the Area training team for many years.
Outside of the Sea cadets Scott is a Police Officer for Staffordshire Police Force where he has held the role of Police Constable, Self-defence Instructor and a Detective Constable. Scott is also married to Michelle and has two sons Connor and Jake.
Scott was awarded National Honours on the 2010 honours list and was awarded an MBE for services to the community of Tamworth in Staffordshire through his work with the Police Force and the Sea Cadets.
Deputy Area Training Officer - Lt Cdr (SCC) Carol Pritchard
Lt Cdr (SCC) Pritchard RNR has been a member of the Sea Cadets since 1983 having joined Malvern Unit as the Admin Officer. In 1987 she was enrolled into the GNTC as a Petty Officer and in January 1988 became OC of the newly formed GNTC at Malvern Unit. She was promoted to CPO in 1989 and S/Lt in 1992. At the end of 1992 she moved, with her family, to Portland in Dorset and joined Portland Unit where she remained until 2002 when she became ADO of Somerset & Dorset District. In September 1994 she was appointed as ASO (Meteorology) and was promoted to Lt. During this time she taught all National Meteorology Courses for Sea Cadet Adults and Cadets at RNAS Portland then RNAS Culdrose after the closure of Portland, also all Area Courses at Weymouth and some at SCTC Inskip when they started holding courses there.
After a short break from the Corps in which time she and her family moved back to Malvern she rejoined the Corps as ADO Severn and then, in September 2007, became A/ASO (Training) a post which she still holds and enjoys very much! She was appointed ARO and promoted to Lt Cdr in October 2008.
In her family life she is married to Michael (Lt Cdr (SCC) D M Pritchard RNR who is the CO of Malvern Unit, ASO Piping and HQSO Seamanship) has three daughters, two granddaughters and one grandson.
